East Nelson UMC is about 4.5 miles east of Cedar Springs, MI. We are located in the Cedar Springs Public School district. We serve Cedar Springs, Harvard, Spencer Township, east of Sand Lake, Trufant, Gowen and the Lincoln Lake area. We are surrounded by hardworking farms and wonderful neighbors.

Our church Sanctuary was built in 1886 as a Congregational Church. It still has stain glass windows. Since the 1980's, the Church went through three additions. In 2007, we added screens to our service. And during Covid, we added service and events to Facebook.
Our Praise Team leads the congregation through our worship time which is 9:30 am, Sunday.

East Nelson is a Mission driven church. We support many organizations and have several parishioners who are volunteers. Please go to the Missions page for the Missions List.
We also hold events such as Community Dinners to get to know our neighbors. Check the Home Page for Events.

East Nelson Church was originally founded in 1886 as a Congregational Church. For generations, our church has remained committed to serving God, supporting our community, and sharing Christ's love.
Families are an important part of our church community. During worship services, The Family Break Room is available as a welcoming space for children and caregivers who may need a place to move around, or take a break. Parent/guardian supervision is required.
We publish our monthly Connections Newsletter to help members, visitors, and the community stay informed about church news, upcoming events, announcements, and opportunities to connect.
If you would like to receive the Connections Newsletter, please contact us or send us a message through our website.
